Type a phone number. EduCRM tells you at once if the student is already in your database, and which counsellor they belong to.
How the check works
In short
A counsellor enters a student's phone number. EduCRM searches the whole database and shows whether the student already exists and which counsellor they are assigned to.
Any phone number format
People write the same number in different ways: with or without the country code, with spaces, dashes or brackets. EduCRM handles these formats, so the same number still finds the same student.
Why it matters for a team
- No double work. Two counsellors do not contact the same student without knowing it.
- Clear ownership. The assigned counsellor is on screen, so nobody has to ask.
- A cleaner database. A returning student is found, not added a second time.
Returning students
When a student comes back, the check finds their existing record. Their past counsellors are in the assignment history.

Can a counsellor check if a student is already in the CRM?
Yes. Enter the student's phone number and EduCRM shows whether the student already exists and which counsellor they are assigned to.
Does the phone number have to be typed in one format?
No. EduCRM handles different phone number formats, so a number typed with or without the country code, spaces or dashes still finds the same student.
